exciting day for my parents! wish i was with them!

friends

after 2 years... i feel like i finally have some genuine girl friends here in durham.
im so grateful i have these two gals.
they make life better here in durham.




its fun to have some gals to hang out with, shop with, and enjoy life with!
this was last night... and i'd like to add... this is after these two grabbed their husbands, picked up my husband from my house and then convinced me AFTER 12 hours of work... to hang out.
we did... and it was soooo fun! (:

pool

no worries.
i did jump in that pool.
it was quite warm today- and the pool felt great.
i love soaking up rays- poolside- reading a book.

i tried to get hunger games- checked out of every library i can go to.
so im contemplating buying it.

currently though reading
in cold blood- by capote.

pretty intense- and going quickly.
so ill still have time to read the other book.
:) back to work tomorrow after an amazingly accomplishing 4 days off!

oh summer.... how i love you!

im so happy the way it turned out.
ryan is too.
seems so much more "grown up" and nice.
and only took lots of hours and sweat and a quart of paint.

it was all worth it though!
we have a fabulous new dining room.

chairs...

3 chairs with their first coat!

i painted a lot today... a whollle lot. i have 3 of the chairs done with 2 coats- and plan on finishing the other one up in the morning. then will be painting the table legs!

almost done with this MAJOR project. ...yeah i didn't realize painting chairs was sooo difficult. and annoying! its been fun though. i enjoy it. :)
